Full Circle – Music for the Separation & Reconnection of Relationships

We Should Have Stayed was an emotional piece that took me quite some time to create.  I wanted to be sure that such a sensitive time in my life was portrayed in a way that I  could feel proud to hit the publish button on.

Going through those seasons of hurt, disconnect, forgiveness, & healing was painful. While I am proud of the words I was able to put together in that post, music always has a way of expounding on my thoughts in a fabulous way.

Our relationships have come full circle, from joy through pain & now to a peaceful place. My heart is very grateful. So this week’s playlist includes songs about the pain of needing to separate & not wanting to. Letting people you love down. Letting yourself down. Being let down by the people you love. Wanting to stay. Finding the right words to say. The pain during the separation. Grief. Forgiving even when others don’t know what they did wrong or fail to admit they were ever wrong. Bravery to try & reconcile. The fierce loyalty that comes from surviving such a difficult experience.

Listen to this playlist in its entirety on my YouTube channel – Namesste Momma         This playlist is titled: Full Circle

1. The Middle – Zedd, Maren, Morris, Grey

Oh baby, why don’t you just meet me in the middle?
I’m losing my mind just a little

3. Losing – Tenth Avenue North

I can’t believe what she said
I can’t believe what he did
Oh, don’t they know it’s wrong
Don’t they know it’s wrong
Well maybe there’s something I missed
But how could they treat me like this
It’s wearing out my heart
The way they disregard

4. Just Give Me a Reason – Pink

Just give me a reason, just a little bit’s enough
Just a second we’re not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again
It’s in the stars, it’s been written in the scars on our hearts
We’re not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again

5. Let You Down – NF

Yeah, you don’t wanna make this work
You just wanna make this worse
Want me to listen to you
But you don’t ever hear my words
You don’t wanna know my hurt, yet
Let me guess you want an apology, probably
How can we keep going at a rate like this?
We can’t, so I guess I’ma have to leave

6. Love the Way You Lie – Eminem ft. Rihanna

I can only tell you what it feels like
And right now it’s a steel knife
In my windpipe
I can’t breathe

7. Say Something – A Great Big World ft. Christina Aguilera

8. Let Her Go – Passenger

Well you only need the light when it’s burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know you love her when you let her go
Only know you’ve been high when you’re feeling low
Only hate the road when you’re missing home
Only know you love her when you let her go
And you let her go

9. Ambulance – Eisley

I need an ambulance.
I took, I took the worst of the blow.
Send me a redeemer.
Let me know if I’m gonna be alright.
Am I gonna be alright?

10. Say Something – Justin Timberlake ft. Chris Stapleton

11. Without You – For King & Country ft. Courtney

I don’t want to live without you
I’m not ready to live without you
So let’s dance a little
Laugh a little
Hope a little more
Cause I don’t want to live without you, without you

12. Words – Hawk Nelson

They’ve made me feel like a prisoner
They’ve made me feel set free
They’ve made me feel like a criminal
Made me feel like a king
They’ve lifted my heart
To places, I’d never been
And they’ve dragged me down
Back to where I began
Words can build you up
Words can break you down
Start a fire in your heart or
Put it out

13. Brokenness Aside – All Sons & Daughters

Will your grace run out
If I let you down
‘Cause all I know
Is how to run

14. Tell Your Heart to Beat Again – Danny Gokey

Tell your heart to beat again
Close your eyes and breathe it in
Let the shadows fall away
Step into the light of grace
Yesterday’s a closing door
You don’t live there anymore
Say goodbye to where you’ve been
And tell your heart to beat again

15. Brave – Sara Bareilles

16. Stand By You – Rachel Platten

Even if we’re breaking down, we can find a way to break through
Even if we can’t find heaven, I’ll walk through hell with you
Love, you’re not alone, ’cause I’m gonna stand by you
Even if we can’t find heaven, I’m gonna stand by you
Even if we can’t find heaven, I’ll walk through hell with you
Love, you’re not alone, ’cause I’m gonna stand by you

17. Dancing in the Mine Fields – Andrew Peterson

& we went dancing in the minefields
We went sailing in the storms
And it was harder than we dreamed
But I believe that’s what the promise is for

18. Forgiveness – Matthew West

It’s the hardest thing to give away
And the last thing on your mind today
It always goes to those who don’t deserve
It’s the opposite of how you feel
When the pain they caused is just too real
Takes everything you have to say the word Forgiveness

19. Family – Toby Mac

So it’s two separate ways
Or am I too late to say?
I wanna fight for what we got
‘Cause I believe in family

20. Loyal – Lauren Daigle

You are always there for me
You listen every time I speak
You look into my eyes
See the things I hide
And say that You will never leave

Our life is filled with relationships that are easy, are filled with struggle, are one-sided, or our family, so permanent no matter what we ever decide they will be amongst ourselves. Although relationships are work, & to be honest, quite exhausting at times, they are worth it.

Families, marriages, friendships, wherever you are at in your journey with these relationships…I encourage you to keep moving forward so that you have the opportunity to come full circle, as we did.

Happiness can come again. I just know it.

Namesste,

Sarah
